Human Cities Brussels Istanbul will be held during Istanbul Design Week at the Old Galata Bridge. This international 2-day event will include lectures, breakout sessions and workshops for architects, urban planners, sociologists, designers, artists and representatives of the civil society (associations and NGO’s involved in urban culture, creativity and intercultural dialogue) from Turkey and various European countries. In collaboration with IDW, further activities will include an international exhibition, public performances, urban walks and itineraries, etc. This “Human Cities Brussels-Istanbul Festival 2010” will hopefully underline the importance of the relationship between contemporary creation (arts/design), quality of the public spaces, and sustainable development in Istanbul.
